Precious Blood Chuch established 1889.

The Catholic people living in Monmouth Beach, West End and Elberon were obliged to come to the Star of the sea Church for Divine worship. In course of time, Father McFaul saw the need for erecting churches both in Monmouth Beach and West End, in order to accommodate the growing Catholic population of these places, especially in the Summer season when the servant girls and coachmen of the wealthy Class were for the most part Catholics.  On June 12, 1889, Father McFaul purchased a lot from John Meany in Monmouth Beach for the sum of $1500 as a suitable site for a church. The following year he began the construction of the present Church of the Precious Blood but was transferred to the Cathedral in Trenton before it’s completion.
