Mihm Boat Works - The Guy Had Vision
Maritime commerce in the area started in August 1946 when G. Henry Mihm (then borough mayor) received zoning board approval to develop a boat basin on property at the foot of West Street. He quickly built a bulkhead, dock and boat-shack — while pledging to provide the “recreational center long needed in Monmouth Beach.” The guy had vision.
