Good morning, Monmouth Beach!

These past four days have been an amazing moment in Monmouth Beach history. On behalf of Commissioners Dave Stickle, Larry Bolsch and myself I want to thank you all for the amazing turnout and support of this America 250 Celebration.

We cannot thank the Historical Committee enough for their time and work over these last 6 months. The Co-Chairs, Lisa Stickle, Richard Keller, and Mark Racioppi and all the dozens of support staff cannot be thanked enough, amazing work!

Chief Tim Griffin, Asst Chief Ryan Sandoz and President Eric Andrews and all the members of the Monmouth Beach Fire Department did an outstanding job with the Saturday Block party and Engine dedication. A big thank you to the First Aid Squad for keeping us all safe.

This borough celebration could not have happened without the tireless effort of DPW Director Joe Chirichello and his amazing staff, these gentlemen worked nearly around the clock over these four days making sure our beaches were clean, our streets were swept, and our roads were barricaded to keep all of our parade participants safe and the parade moving smoothly. Thank you all!

The Monmouth Beach Police Department has been working around the clock this last week to prepare, then to execute a flawless operational effort to keep the entire town safe, our residents and guests moving through our streets and participants arriving on time. A well-deserved thank you to Chief Dan McManus, Captain Peter Rechtman and all the officers for a job well done!

Finally, the office staff in borough hall have been working nearly non-stop to facilitate the many moving parts that made up this whole celebration. The acquisition of supplies and services, finance, public information, both in person and on social media and Fireworks! They have provided unparalleled customer service while managing our busiest time of the year, the opening of the Bathing Pavilion and distribution of the all-important Beach Badges! Unbelievable group effort! Huge thanks to Borough Administrator Anthony Villane and Borough Clerk Joyce Escalante and all the professional staff in our small but mighty borough hall!

Finally, a great big thank you to all of you! For showing up and participating, for taking the time to make this moment in Monmouth Beach history and setting an example for other communities to follow. We live in a remarkable town and that was on full display these last four days! Have a great 4th of July, and safe and happy Summer! God Bless America and Happy 250th Birthday!

Mayor Tim Somers

Thank you so much for a wonderful celebration. It was obvious that everyone worked together to make this event a happy time. The Borough looks terrific, I love the red, white and blue intersection in town and yes, God Bless America 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.

Thanks to everyone. Maureen Stilwell

You said it best at Saturday’s dedication of the fire engine:  other towns try to duplicate what goes on in Monmouth Beach; somehow they just can’t do it. It’s hard to credit yourself, but keep in mind, you deserve a lot of credit for the hours and energy that you devote to the Borough. And let’s not forget to give credit to God for giving us PERFECT WEATHER for the events.

A sincere thank you for all that you do.

A beautiful celebration for our town and our country, congratulations to the efforts of each committee that made this weekend a success🇺🇸!

Thank you all for such a wonderful celebration.  Unfortunately we missed it all because we are out of town on a business trip.  I heard and saw that it was amazing!  What a great thing you all accomplished.  Way to make Monmouth Beach great!!!!  Much appreciation from Debbie and Steve Raia.

The Historical Committee cannot thank all of you enough for making our vision a reality. Without your support we wouldn't have been able to pull off the party of the century.

I think we all can agree that all the events brought the community together "like the old days". Hopefully, that feeling will spread to other events sponsored by our committee and others. We're planning a recap party in September to review all the events and view all the photos and videos.

Thank you again,

The MB Historical Committee

It was such a pleasure working with this incredible team to bring our celebration to life! What an amazing weekend and unlike anything I have seen in town over the past 60+ years.

We live in a wonderful place with the ocean breeze and beautiful rivers but it’s the caring people who make it the community we all cherish. It is heartwarming to see old and new residents come together to continue traditions and bring new energy to the area. I don’t know of any other town that is stepping up the way we did and that is amazing considering our size! Small but mighty!

Great job everyone and we had excellent leadership! Mark, Lisa, and Dickie – you are outstanding and made it fun to be a part of! Well done!

Best,

Jennifer

PS – Hope to see you again in 50 years! ; )

Dear Members of the Historical Committee,

Thank you for your kind note.

Monmouth Beach School was truly proud to be a part of this remarkable celebration. The opening of the time capsule was especially meaningful and impactful. I am certain our Class of 2026 graduates will always remember the camaraderie, friendship, and pride they witnessed from the Class of 1976. It was a powerful reminder that the bonds formed in a small community can last a lifetime.

I hope that 50 years from now, our current graduates will gather together as a class to open the time capsule they helped create and pass along that same challenge of excellence, friendship, and community to the next generation.

On a personal note, it was such a pleasure to be part of the festivities. You should all be incredibly proud of what you accomplished. The countless hours of planning, organizing, and coordinating paid off in creating a celebration that brought people together in a truly special way. I feel honored to be part of this amazing Monmouth Beach community and grateful for the opportunity to share in such a memorable event.

Thank you again for all you did to make this celebration a success.

Warm regards,
